Modern couple walking past a wedding chapel after an intimate elopement

CHLOE & TIM’S BLACKPOOL ELOPEMENT: BOLD LOOKS, BIG FEELS AND NOTHING TO PROVE

Small Wedding, Big Vibes: How to Do It Your Way (And Still Afford the epic Honeymoon)

Yep, you read that right, it is possible to plan a wedding that’s stylish, meaningful, and totally personal - all without maxing out your honeymoon budget. We spent the day with Chloe + Tim to prove just that, their Blackpool elopement was packed with personality and intention - and came in at just £1,265.

This wasn’t about skimping or settling. It was about choosing what mattered, skipping what didn’t, and building a day around two people, their love language and their story.

An Intimate Wedding With Maximum Impact

This shoot was inspired by the idea of a modern, low-key wedding - just the couple, two witnesses, and a focus on style, meaning, and storytelling. Small guest list, big energy.

And what better setting than the iconic Blackpool Wedding Chapel? Perched right on the seafront, this angular, gold-clad building looks like it’s been plucked from another era - full of nostalgic charm with a retro-futuristic edge. In reality, it’s a modern landmark, completed in 2012, but it captures the spirit of old-school seaside romance in a totally unexpected way.

It’s also seriously affordable: £153 covers everything you need to legally get married in the UK - the registrar, certificate, notice of marriage, and room for two witnesses/guests (this price is valid on a Monday morning only but there are other great rates and options available).

Wedding Photography That Tells Your Story

Wedding photography is one of the few things that lasts long after the day is over - so choosing the right fit matters. Chloe + Tim had just two hours with us for £560, including both digital and 35mm film.

In that short window, we captured every bit of what made their day theirs - the emotion, the energy, the connection. No awkward poses. No forced moments. Just honest, joyful storytelling that was completely authentic to them.

The result? The kind of images that take you straight back to how it felt, not just how it looked.

And, talking of the aesthetics… Chloe + Tim absolutely nailed the art of looking cool, without trying too hard.

Chloe’s bouquet and Tim’s buttonhole were from Posies and Paper Co - all faux florals and total fashion statements for just £145. Bold, sculptural and built to last. No wilting. No stress.

And the bonus with faux flowers is they can live in your home as a keepsake afterwards too.

Styled With Intention

Her look? A £149 Coast dress, styled with £85 cowboy boots from Dia Studios. It worked for sand, streets, and dancing on the promenade. Not traditional - just completely Chloe.

Tim kept it simple with a suit he already owned. Because confidence > cost. It fit the Blackpool vibe without needing anything new.

Makeup by @meganhalton.sfx came in at £40, featuring glowy skin, defined eyes, and a bold red lip. Modern, unfussy, and punchy - the perfect finishing touch.

Repurposing existing rings added layers of sentiment, history and meaning, while also saving some £££s in the process. Winner-winner (burger) dinner!

Vintage-Inspired Wedding Cake (That Tasted Good Too)

After a quick stop off for some burgers, fries and cocktails at Coyote Ugly (£45), there was just a little room left for something sweet in the form of a vintage-inspired cake from Marks & Spencer Food.

This cake cost just £18 and honestly looked like it came straight from a 1950s bakery window - soft pastel shades, nostalgic shape, and totally photogenic. Cute, delicious, and perfect for this couple’s laid back vibe.

And where else to eat it than casually perched on the hood of their camper van on the seafront. Understated perfection.

So, What’s The Takeaway?

Chloe + Tim’s entire day came in at just £1,265. That’s everything - outfits, ceremony, all the legal bits, cake, flowers, makeup, photography, and more. No compromises. Just a day full of personality and meaning.

Here’s the real secret: You don’t need a huge budget to have a wedding that hits hard emotionally and visually. You just need to get intentional. Prioritise what actually matters to you. Let go of the rest.

Whether you’re eloping by the sea, getting married at your local town hall, or somewhere completely unexpected - you don’t need rules to make it incredible. You just need vision.
