Hey! We’re The Twigs, aka Paul (he/him) & Suz (she/her). We are a husband and wife team, based in Telford, Shropshire, but covering the whole of the UK and beyond.
We’ve been documenting love stories since 2013 and in that time we’ve captured over 200 weddings, had our work published in print, and been named among the UK’s Top 50 Wedding Photographers in the UK (2023 & 2024). We’ve also recently been named one of Hitched UK’s most recommended wedding photographers - an award based entirely on reviews from real couples.
Our photography style reflects our personalities and is authentic and relaxed. We avoid fleeting trends, and instead approach each wedding with a creative curiosity that allows us to artfully tell your story. We’ll never ask you to recreate something just because it fits the latest Insta craze, or an outdated tradition or stereotype.
Our roles;
☆ Paul - Lead photographer: relaxed, super friendly, and always a calming presence. He’s there to capture every emotion, without missing a beat.
☆ Suz - Editor-in-chief and client experience Queen. From first email to final gallery, she makes sure every part of your journey feels easy, intentional and personalised to you.

OUR STYLE & APPROACH
When it comes to how we work, it’s all about balance. We’re not here to fill a portfolio or chase trends, we’re here to tell the story. The emotion. The connection.
We’ll quietly document your day as it naturally unfolds - the laughter, the looks, the way your people show up for you. But when the moment calls for it, we’ll step in with relaxed, confident direction that helps you feel at ease, without pulling you out of the moment.
Our photography is documentary-led with an editorial edge - a mix of cinematic candids and portraits that pack a punch. We focus on both the big and the quiet moments, building a gallery that feels honest, emotive, and beautifully you.
We don’t take cues from traditional wedding photography. Our inspiration lives elsewhere - in the framing of cinema, the textures of architecture, the rhythm of music, the mood of fashion editorials, and the emotion of fine art. That’s where real storytelling lives. It’s why our work doesn’t look - or feel - like everything else out there. Think less cookie-cutter, more editorial edge. More story. More feeling. More you.
Whether we’re shooting digitally or on film, our work has a timeless, textured feel that’s full of emotion. We don’t believe in trendy edits or filters that distort reality. Every digital image is carefully crafted to match the natural depth of our film scans - your story refined, but never rewritten.

FIVE FUN FACTS

1) Our surname isn't actually Twig, it’s Wilkinson. Our clients started calling us ‘The Twigs’ and it just sort of stuck - it’s a bit like a superhero alter ego though so we‘re cool with it!
2) We love to travel, both in the UK and abroad - one of our favourite places to visit is the Greek island of Mykonos.
3) Our first dance was the iconic routine from Pulp Fiction to Chuck Berry’s ‘You Never Can Tell’ (sounds cooler than it is as we have absolutely no rhythm).
4) We don’t take inspo from other wedding photographers, we take our cues from creative outlets such as fashion magazines, art, architecture and cinema
5) We’re obsessed with pizza. And yes, we do absolutely believe that pineapple is a valid topping choice.
BEYOND THE LENS
We’re inspired by the things around us and much of what we do outside of work has creative roots - we love film and theatre, reading and music (Suz is a little bit obsessed with Harry Styles, whereas Paul has a rather more eclectic music taste with favourites spanning from Led Zeppelin, Miles Davies and Hans Zimmer to the Sugababes).
We have a a fluffy grey kitty cat named Miss Kitty Fantastico - Missy for short (if you know where that name came from we can be friends already!)
We’d rather collect memories than stuff and are currently working our way around as many luxury treehouse stays in the UK as possible (our favourite so far is Chewton Glen).
Home for us is in Telford, Shropshire, but we love to travel and photograph weddings across the UK and abroad.
