We’ve been in this business for many years now so we’ve come to anticipate some of our client’s most frequently asked questions which we’ve summarised here. WHAT AREAS DO YOU COVER?
We are based in Telford, Shropshire but cover the whole of the UK. Our wedding fees include travel within a 40 mile radius of Telford and travel thereafter is charged at 0.45 per mile. For distances in excess of 150 miles additional fees may be charged, please contact us for a quote.
WE’RE GETTING MARRIED ABROAD, WILL YOU COVER DESTINATION WEDDINGS?
Are you kidding? We're already packed! We love a good destination wedding and it may not be as pricey as you think to have us cover your day. Drop us a line and we’ll chat (we can’t promise not to squeal with delight when you reveal your awesome destination though).
ARE YOU INSURED?
Absolutely! We have full professional indemnity insurance. (We’d like to insert something witty and entertaining here but let’s face it, insurance is boring).
WILL WE KNOW YOU ARE THERE/WILL YOU IMPACT ON OUR DAY?
We are not the type of photography company that dresses like members of the Secret Service and barks orders at you and your guests for the entire day. We make every effort to attend your wedding day in an unobtrusive and mindful manner (although we cannot be held responsible for guests wanting to compliment the photographer on his unique range of footwear - I mean come on, you know your photographer is cool when he has an ever-growing collection of Star Wars, Disney & superhero shoes!) We pride ourselves on being able to blend effortlessly with your guests whilst we capture the details and emotions that tell the story of your individual day. Whilst we will always do our best to take any specific photographs you require, we tend not to work to shot lists as we find this distracts from capturing all those unplanned, unique moments. The same with group pictures, whilst we appreciate that a family photo with your great Aunt Gertrude’s second cousin twice removed is a wedding staple, we generally keep these shots to a minimum (but will of course be guided by our clients’ individual requirements).
ARE YOU FANS OF STAR WARS?
Yes, the force is strong with us.
DO YOU EDIT ALL OUR PHOTOGRAPHS?
Yes we do! Our unique style is just as much about the post editing as it is about capturing the image. Following your wedding we spend a lot of time going through each and every image, applying our signature style. We also only ever discard duplicate, or out of focus shots, and closed eye images. We will never cull a useable photograph - after all, that shot of Uncle Frank embracing his inner Beyonce may well be your favourite! Who are we to judge?!
CAN YOU HOLD OUR DATE?
Unfortunately not (sad face). We take bookings on a first come first served basis and because we only take on a maximum of 20 wedding commissions per year we do get booked up quite quickly. We do, however, accept bookings up to two years in advance - all we need to secure your date is a deposit and completed contract so drop us a line as soon as you get your venue sorted and we’ll take it from there.
WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR IMAGES?
We aim to have your image proofs ready within 6-8 weeks following your wedding, sometimes it’s a little more or a little less but we promise your images will be worth waiting for (and we may even send you a little teaser or two in the meantime).
WHO DO YOU USE FOR ALBUMS?
We use Loxley Colour for all of our print/product needs. Loxley Colour is an award-winning, industry-leading professional printing lab based in the UK offering, in our opinion, unrivalled product quality. It is certainly not the cheapest supplier, but we believe in offering our customers the absolute best quality so you can enjoy your prints and products for many years to come.
WE WANT TO BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING, WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
That’s awesome! The first step would be to drop us a line either by email or via our contact form with a bit of information about your day, the venue and requested date. We will then get in touch and start this thing rolling! If you decide to go ahead and book then we will require a completed booking form and non-refundable booking fee of £350 to secure your date. Our preferred payment method is via bank transfer but we are also able to accept debit/credit card payments.
