What do you do when a Royal Wedding is planned for the same day as your own impending nuptials? You make your day as personal and unique to you as possible - and that's just what Julian & Holly did at their beautiful Shropshire vintage wedding, held at the picturesque Wilderhope Manor, on 19th May, 2018.

Politics and weddings probably aren’t two topics you’d expect to see coupled together in the same sentence (unless you are considering the fallout from sitting Auntie Jean next to cousin Frank at the reception when they haven’t spoken for 15 years). However, since becoming wedding suppliers ourselves, Mr Twig and I have realised that this industry is all about politics, cliques and inner circles that are more difficult than those little single serve sauce sachets to break into (I mean, seriously, could restaurants make it more obvious they don’t want you to use the condiments?!).
But, what does this mean for you, the client? Well, ultimately, you are in danger of being hoodwinked.
Now I bet, even without reading any further than the title, you’ve guessed that guiding you through this blog is non other than your hero, Mr Twig.
I wanted to put a quick post together to talk about love. Specifically, how much I love a Love Shoot. See, the title makes sense now (and, coincidentally, is linked to my all time favourite band. EVER).
Love Shoots are our version of pre-wedding shoots. We just like to be different. The selection of images you see here are of the awesome Sam & Jay, set against the backdrop of the historical town of Shifnal.
When James & Danielle's original photographer didn't work out we were thrilled that they came to us for their Shropshire vintage wedding photography.
The wedding took place on Friday 13th October at the Park House Hotel in Shifnal and the day certainly lived up to its superstitious hype with a number of ill-fated events!
But, despite the hitches in getting hitched, it was an amazing day and, as you can see, James and Danielle's devotion to each other was written all over their faces.
The venue is booked, flowers chosen, photographer selected and you’ve found ‘the one’ wedding dress. As the final wedding preparations draw closer there’s not long to wait until you say those two important words, ‘I Do.’ Two important little words that can mean the start of something beautiful, you’re in love, you cannot be prised apart, you want to be together forever… Yup, there’s no denying it, for a bride some of the most important I Do’s and I Don’ts of a wedding are related to the contents of her (or her makeup artist’s) cosmetics bag. It’s a relationship that you’ve dreamed of, one that guarantees longevity, has no imperfections and maintains a radiant appeal.
Whether you choose to go it alone or employ the services of a professional artist for your big day, get it right and you’ll be making a commitment for life to your beauty regime.
